I love winter, but yet hate it so much at the same time. Here is a list of the pros and cons of winter.
Pros:
Snow, Christmas (Lights, the tree, decorations, the smell, and the holiday!), Sledding, Snowboarding, Skiiing, Broomball, Winter Carnaval here at Tech (best time of the year!!), Snow Statues, Hot chocolate (Free hot chocolate during carnaval), having the excuse to sit on the couch with a blanket, Candy canes, Snowmen, snowball fights (when your not getting hit), looking outside knowing how cold it is but you are nice and toasty inside, catching snow flakes on your tounge as they fall, watching people slip on the ice.
Cons:
Shoveling the 3 feet of snow that fell the night before, Snow getting into your shoes, soaked mittens, cold cars, sweeping off your car, scraping ice off the windsheild, ice in general, slipping, shoveling out your car, face washes, not having snowdays because the school got sued or something like that last time they had one, getting lost on your way to class because it's snowing so bad out, driving in snow, being cold. if you have to wear dress shoes / heals in the snow that is NEVER fun! winter lasting 5 months.
Oh the joys of going to school up north in the middle of nowhere when winter lasts for over half of the school year! At least winter gives us something to do and to look forward too! Because I know it wouldn't be the same up here if we didn't have a place to snowboard /ski at and winter carnaval is so much fun!!!

"Watching people slip on the ice" hahahaha, that's great! Freshman year when it "snowed" at Baylor it was hilarious to watch people try to walk on the ice while i walked around like everything was normal. Ohh southerners...
We had winter here in Texas yesterday! Snow was still on the ground this morning...melted now of course. Just the thought of slipping on ice makes my wrist hurt! Perhaps winter is over for us now....
:)
We're supposed to be getting snow everyday for the next week! YAY!! I really hope there is snow at Chrismas while were at Melissa's
Snow in Texas. 29 degrees and less and it was 80 degrees the day before. Will be in the 40 and 50's for a few days. Hope winter will be over for us. Papa had to go to work too. But it wasn't bad when he went to work or after he got off. Just while he was there. Our car windshield was cracked on the way home. I hate winter always have.
Hey! I am just commenting to complete the family comment list! Havent't recovered my blogg yet- however I hear people have been leaving me comments - yea me!
I'm really hoping for a white Christmas too! It would be alot of fun to have lots of snow while you are visiting. I don't think my boys even know what to do in snow. We don't get enough of it to have much fun. It was 60's early last week here and then 20's for a couple days, now back to 40's and 50's this week, and no snow on the way, yet.
Allie, send me the link to watch your campus through online video streaming. That was fun last year looking at the ice and snow sculptures.
Snow..........I tired of snow. I have been snowed in too many times already this year and its only December. The worst snow is still yet to come in January. Hopefully the helicopters will fly today so I can get back to Kabul and get warm.
Great that you are a full member of your sister group. Another comment on Golda's blog.
